The beauty behind Tracking Innovations’ RFID supply chain solution is the ease with
which customers can view and integrate with existing systems. While several standard
integration solutions are available, our sales and logistic team members can create
custom interfaces for almost any application.
RTTS Interface Features:
Data Integration
Tracking Innovations’ real-time tracking system data can seamlessly integrate into
just about any business system, including:
- ERP: Enterprise Resource Planning
- WMS: Warehouse Management Systems
- EDI: Electronic Data Interchange
- XML: Extensible Markup Language
- Flat Files: Data files containing records with no structured relationship
- Custom Solutions: Professional solutions that conform to your business
needs
Hosted Services
Hosted tracking is facilitated through a secured, 128-bit Web portal that has been
developed using Microsoft’s Bing Maps and .NET 3.5 framework. Customers have
full capability to configure the tag alarm set points and notification methods.

- E-Mail
- Voice
Visual Shipment Tracking
Tracking Innovations makes it convenient for customers to visually track shipments
in near real-time with two and three-dimensional interchangeable map views.
Waypoints are color-coded indicators that help you easily and quickly identify the
exact location and status of your shipments. Below is a list of the colors used
in the RTTS and their meanings:
- Green—Points indicate normal
- Blue—Star indicates shipment origin
- Yellow—Star indicates shipment destination; pulsing shows last
reporting position
- Red—Indicates alarm condition
Waypoints have been designed to provide maximum information with a single mouse
stroke. By hovering over a waypoint, the following information is displayed:
- Date
- Time
- Latitude
- Longitude
For Alerts, additional information is given:
- Tag readings outside of set point
- Master Unit ID
- Tag ID
- SKU number
- Alert Type
- Reading
In addition to visual alerts, system-generated alerts will be sent to the tracking
server as the event is reported.
Mobile Devices
Mapping applications have been developed for mobile devices, enabling the user to view
the freight tracking system remotely. Currently, the following mobile devices are
supported by Tracking Innovations’ RFID supply chain solution:
- Windows Smart Phones
- Palm Treo Models
- BlackBerry Smart Phones
- Other PDA devices, including those manufactured by Samsung, HTC, Motorola, AT&T,
and more.
Customer Programming Interface
Prior to shipment from the customer’s facility, the Master Units and associated
tags will have the option for quick and easy programming in one of two ways:
Standalone Shipping Interface
Carrier independent, a .NET interface will be developed that allows for the consolidation
of external shipping solutions into a single system whose ultimate destination is
the customer’s existing business application. This eliminates redundant data entry
and includes but is not limited to:
- ERP
- WMS
- Other business systems
Handheld Shipping Interface
Customized for your specific needs, a .NET application will be developed for the
Symbol MC9090 Handheld Mobile Computer. This application
will permit barcode scanning, from which Master Unit and associated tags can be
programmed and shipment data automatically entered. The benefits of the handheld
shipping interface include error reduction and streamlined shipments.
