Behind the scenes, Tracking Innovations’ RFID supply chain solution
is configured to handle complex tracking information in varying degrees of environmental
conditions. It all begins with the Master
Unit, a smartly-designed electronic device that utilizes the latest technological
advances and out wits the competition. Coupled with powerful
active RFID tags, this dynamic duo produces a timely tracking
system on constant alert.
Master Unit
The brains of Tracking Innovations’ RFID supply chain solution, the Master
Unit has a rechargeable battery and houses a single-board Atmel computer, which
hosts the following components:
Additionally, the Master Unit has been designed for easy access and interface; the
device comes equipped with the following elements:
- Standard USB port
- Power switch
- Port for charging the rechargeable batteries
Functionality: The Master Unit communicates with the
tags using a 2.4GHz wireless transceiver link. It monitors the associated
tags to verify range distances and other data.
aRFID Tags
Powered by four disposable AA batteries, the aRFID tags are housed in materials
approved by the FDA to comply with pharmaceutical and food shipment regulations.
These aRFID tags have 512k of on-board memory used to store data readings between
intervals of communication to the Master Unit.
aRFID tags are available in three configurations:
- Temperature Sensor
- Temperature and Humidity Sensor
- Shock and Vibration Sensor
